The multipurpose development vehicle

The EGAME (Engin du Génie d'AMÉnagement) is a multipurpose vehicle designed to meet the needs of armies in field missions, whether for earthmoving, stripping, snow removal, landings or clearing in urban areas.

The EGAME is a hydrostatically driven, 4-wheel drive, steered dozer.

Its chassis is a load-bearing structure with box-section longitudinal beams and high-strength welding which supports a 253 hp CATERPILLAR diesel engine. It is is entirely custom-built with specific decks and designed to accommodate various tools. It also has a comfortable cabin with removable armouring.

Cab

The cab includes:
a seat with adjustments for all weights and sizes
an adjustable left armrest
an adjustable right armrest with controls
an adjustable steering column
a dual-point seat belt
one interior and two exterior mirrors
a dashboard showing the main information needed to drive the vehicle
a heating and air conditioning system
a space for a radio
a front and rear windscreen wiper and washer system
a place for a GPS receiver holder
a place for a radio-tactical support
a place for a decontamination device
one slot for an assault rifle holder
a space for a 2 litre ABC fire extinguisher
The cabin comprises:
in "civilian" mode: a fixed armoured structure allowing optimum visibility
in "protection" mode: removable opaque and glazed armour panels (mounted behind the windows inside the cabin)
in storage: removable armour panels stored in their container

Bodywork

The vehicle incorporates:
2 front mudguards
2 rear mudguards
a bonnet with a radiator access hatch
lower and side guards
2 on-board kit boxes containing the kits
4 ECR (Rapid Camouflage Screen) supports
a rear number plate holder

Tyres

Wheels: 16 x 26.5 reinforced, 20 mm negative offset with dual wheel attachment system
Tyres: 500/60/26.5 with 22 ply and double steel belt
Compressor: 24 V with 6 m hose and pressure gauge
Maximum pressure of the compressor: 6 bar
